India Infoline Use Avaya for Institutional Broking
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Jan 07, 2008 1631 hrs IST

The India Infoline group, comprising the holding company, India Infoline and its wholly owned subsidiaries, is one of the leading players in the Indian financial services space. It offers the entire gamut of financial services covering investment products ranging from equities and derivatives, commodities, portfolio management services, mutual funds, life insurance, fixed deposits, loans, investment banking, GoI bonds and other small savings instruments. It owns and manages the website, www.indiainfoline.com, which is one of India's leading online destinations for personal finance, stock markets, economy and business. Need for Solution: India Infoline has recently added institutional broking to its existing range of financial products and services including retail equities and commodities broking, home and personal loans, distribution of insurance, mutual funds etc. With the addition of institutional broking, there was a manifold increase in the volume of communication and traded value in the dealing room. To be customer responsive, it was essential to increase brokers' responsiveness which required fast turrets. The company needed an IP based technology solution to set up a state-of-art "Dealing Room" for the Institutional Broking division of India Infoline Limited (IIFL). Solution: It deployed Avaya's feature rich "state of art" IP Turrets (dealer boards) with world-class recording solutions and has been integrated to their enterprise infrastructure. Benefits: It includes features of IP turret, like, free seating and hotlines. These have enhanced customer responsiveness, per-user customization and worker productivity. Since these turrets are compatible with existing infrastructure, it has not only helped cut the deployment cost but have eased the maintenance task as well. The products provide immense flexibility for the traders including free seating, touch screen, up to 6,000 shortcuts, easy grouping, multiple open lines and disaster recovery possibilities etc. About the Deal: Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd (AGCL) has a tie up with Belgium-based company called "IP Trade" which had launched the first fully functional IP Turret globally. The recording functionality has been provided by NICE.
