GoodSync v 4.5.3 is a free utility that allows you to synchronize data between multiple sources like desktops, laptops, and a whole gamut of removable devices (USB keys, flash cards, removable external hard disks, zip drives, CDRW, floppies). It can also synchronize data with mp3 players and digital cameras
Synchronization of data can also happen across a local network (LAN) or over the Internet.
Apart from doing multiple synchronization jobs simultaneously, it has support for a variety of automatic synchronization options (when file changes are detected, a removable device is connected, a time period has elapsed, on user logon/logout, or on a set time schedule).
It also has reporting capabilities that can be used to identify the differences between synchronization folders.
The developers (Siber Systems) say that GoodSync uses an innovative new synchronization algorithm that offers true bi-directional backup. They also assure that the software is free of any sort of malware.
While a complete list of supported file systems is not provided on the website, the company claims to support virtually any file system.
