Network General Launches Products in India
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Oct 16, 2006

Network General India has launched a host of new products in India that include the Network Intelligence Suite and the Network DNA Architecture.

Network General Corporation plays a key role in product development that contributes over 60% of the company's development resources worldwide.

Products such as sniffer administrator, visualiser and portable are completely owned and developed by the Indian team based at Bangalore. The company has decided to increase headcount of its development team by 15%, and double its sales and marketing team in India.

Shedding more light on the new products, Ken Boyd, CIO & Executive VP- Products Network General says, "The introduction of the Network Intelligence Suite has broadened the horizon of Network General in the industry."

The Indian unit has played a substantial role in developing products like Network Intelligence Suite and Network General. With its delivery, there will be an initiation of the industry's first 'Dashboard to Packet' view with application monitoring products integrated with deep packet-level network, application traffic analysis products yielding a whole new view of IT services, he adds.

"With technology advancements, simple networks have given way to complicated and distributed business models. To overcome the challenge of correcting critical business related problems, IT organizations often purchase and maintain at least two IT management solutions, one for network and another for application monitoring. An integration of the two is what we aim at, to keep IT service levels running at their peak," claims Tathagat Varma, GM- Network General India.

Pricing for the entire product portfolio ranges from $3000 to $100,000.
