Adapters to Enhance Interoperability

Geometric Software Solutions, provider of global engineering and product lifecycle management solutions, has acquired PLM adapters for enterprise integration.
According to the release, the acquisition will focus on the transfer of intellectual property and all existing related contracts to Geometric. These adapters include Teamcenter adapter and Windchill adapter, which will enable Geometric to broaden its offering in the PLM interoperability space. They aim to provide a foundation for the creation of solutions in the fast evolving Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) ecosystem.
Parag Kale, head of enterprise products business of Geometric said, "The addition of these adapters will help us accelerate the creation of interoperability solutions, and expand the markets that we address. We are now positioned to offer a range of solutions to suit customer requirements, while allowing them to leverage their existing infrastructure. These adapters will expedite our development of SOA enabled interoperability products."
The enterprise products business of Geometric provides interoperability solutions in the PLM space. These solutions are being sought by industries that seek to drive efficiency through information, and process integration in the product realization value stream, such as the automotive, aerospace, and hi-tech industries.
