Adobe Systems Inc. has announced the next version of Adobe Production Studio. The latter is a video and audio post-production tool set, part of the creative suite family. It will be available for both Macintosh and Windows platforms.
"The new version will enable professionals to move between a range of post-production tasks while remaining focused," says John Loiacono, Sr. VP- Creative Solutions, Business Unit, Adobe.
Film, video and web professionals currently using Adobe's After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator on the Mac will soon be able to harness the power of completely new Macintosh releases of Adobe's Premiere Pro, Encore DVD and Sound booth - all key components of revision to Adobe Production Studio.
The product combines the applications encompassing its After Effects for composting, effects and animation. The Adobe Premiere Pro is used for non-linear editing, while its Encore DVD for authoring, Photoshop, Illustrator, as well as timesaving workflow enhancements offered by Adobe Dynamic Link.
The link will eliminate a need for rendering when moving graphics and visual effects from Adobe After Effects to a real-time HD, SD and DV editing environment in its Premiere Pro and Encore DVD.
Adobe Sound booth has been designed to enable professionals to produce high-quality audio. It will offer ability to record, edit, and customize audio and music for web and video production, makes delivery of sound tracks fast and efficient.
It will take the place of Adobe Audition in the next version of Adobe Production Studio. Adobe Audition will be developed for audio professionals as a product for Windows.
The next version of Adobe Production Studio for Macintosh and Windows will be available in mid-2007. Adobe's Production Studio, Premiere Pro, Encore DVD, and Sound booth will be available for Intel-based Macintosh computers. The next releases of Adobe's After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator will be offered as universal binaries for the Macintosh.
