Airtel to Offer Voice, Broadband Combo

Airtel Telemedia Services, a private broadband and telephone service provider, has launched the "Combo 499 Plan" for its customers in South India. The plan offers an entry combination of broadband at a speed of 2 mbps along with free download of 1 GB and voice calls worth Rs.200.It also provides STD facilities at Re. 1/- per minute, making it ideal for moderate broadband users.
According to Shamik Das, CEO (South India) of Airtel Telemedia Services, the Combo 499 Plan will enable more people to easily avail of the broadband connectivity at an affordable price.
"As a telecom services provider, this initiative marks our strategic intent to simplify broadband tariffs and differentiate ourselves in a market already cluttered with multiple tariff plans. Going forward, we will continue to explore innovative and affordable tariff options that are aimed to speed up growth, enhance customer value and significantly contribute towards increasing On-demand broadband services," added Das.
Airtel Telemedia Services is India's private broadband and telephone service provider. It was voted the Best ISP in India in the PC World Broadband Survey conducted by PC World technology magazine.
