Cable &Wireless and Telecom Italia Sparkle have entered into a partnership to drive, expand and support business presence in key growth areas.
According to the agreement Cable &Wireless will provide network infrastructure and services to Telecom Italia Sparkle, to meet the needs of its international customers moving business, manufacturing, and operations in Asia. The companies believe that the partnership to be an efficient route towards improving the geographic coverage with enterprise quality of service.
Jim Marsh, CEO of Cable & Wireless (Europe, Asia and US) said, "This partnership allows both the companies to benefit from each other's infrastructure investment and extend our global reach without further capital expenditure. We will be able to fully support Telecom Italia Sparkle as its customers enter this new market. In turn we're also looking forward to work closely with Telecom Italia Sparkle to fulfill our own ambitions in the Mediterranean and Africa."
Cable& Wireless enjoys a strong market reputation across Asia and was recently awarded International Long Distance and National Long Distance Licences, by the Indian Government, to establish and manage its own operations in India. Simultaneously Telecom Italia's state of the art regional fibre optic network will provide Cable& Wireless enterprise customers the ability to access enhanced data, voice and managed services such as IP-VPN for operations in MEA.
