BO To Support HP Neoview Data Warehouse Platform
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Apr 24, 2007
Business Objects will support the HP Neoview data warehouse platform, offering customers an integrated solution to gather and analyze data.
The company's BI solutions will interoperate with Neoview to provide customers enterprise-class data warehousing.
"We are pleased to participate in the launch of HP Neoview," said Donald MacCormick, vice-president of product marketing at Business Objects. "Today, our customers are faced with dramatic increases in data volumes and the requirement to deliver information to more and more users, which can put enormous pressure on traditional data warehousing approaches. They urgently need trustworthy information, but cannot afford lengthy and complex implementations of the data infrastructure underpinning their BI projects. Business Objects is working with HP to help solve these challenges. Combining the appliance-like approach of HP's Neoview with Business Objects' full suite of BI solutions, we will offer a flexible and innovative way for customers to quickly deploy our joint solution, and start to enjoy the benefits quickly."
The company also announced plans to develop new jointly integrated solutions for various industry sectors. This follows the existing Oneview customer-centric data warehouse solution for the telecommunications industry. Oneview solution leverages Neoview database platform, and utilizes BusinessObjects XI for analysis, reporting, dashboards, and scorecards. The solution enables network and service providers to analyze customer interaction data (voice, IP, video) for customer retention and life- time customer value, and to develop effective campaigns to acquire new customers.
"Our customers depend on business intelligence more than ever to optimize their information assets," said Ben Barnes, vice president and general manager, Business Intelligence Group, Software, HP. "The combined strength of BusinessObjects XI and HP Neoview will give customers the just-in-time information necessary when making critical business decisions."
Today's announcement further expands a long-standing relationship between Business Objects and HP, and also extends the joint commitment to the Business Objects Open Appliance Initiative, a global partner network of BI appliances which includes HP, announced on 14 March, according to a statement.
