Bayanat Implements Oracle's Solutions
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Sep 27, 2007
To effectively launch next-generation services within Saudi Arabia, Bayanat, a WiMAX network service provider, has implemented Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management and Oracle's Siebel CRM solution.
The company needed a solution, which would enable them to offer next-generation services with a cross-product bundling solution, customized to meet the diverse needs of pre- and post-paid billing plans.
Basem Asfoor, chief information officer of Bayanat, states, "The company plans to expand its current service range by offering next-generation products and service to our existing and potential customers. It's crucial that we've the correct IT infrastructure to support this objective."
Besides, with a rapidly changing competitive landscape, it's crucial that the company has a holistic view of its business with upgradable services, pre-equipped functionality, and the ability to integrate different parts of the business - such as billing, CRM, and ERP.
Hence, to meet the requirements, Bayanat selected Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management for its flexibility. The company expects significant market growth within Saudi Arabia, particularly in the new mobile WiMAX network services.
"We looked at other vendors, but zeroed in on Oracle's product, as its scalable billing and real-time architecture is just what we needed to face today's business challenges," added Asfoor.
The Oracle solution is designed to fulfill the most challenging business requirements. The implementation will allow Bayanat to offer customer-centric, next-generation services, and compete more effectively in the recently deregulated Middle Eastern market.
David Sharpley, vice president (product marketing and channels) of Oracle Communications, said, "Oracle has delivered Bayanat a modular billing system that's based on proven expertise in billing for communication service providers."
