Bharatee to Head Serena Software, India

The new managing director will also take up the channel development program in addition to Serena Software's existing direct sales model and telesales operations.
While commenting on the recent appointment, K. C. Yee, vice president (Asia Pacific) of Serena Software said, "India is a very important market for Serena Software and has performed exceptionally well in the past year. We are proud to have Munindra heading our India team. His extensive knowledge and experience in the IT industry will provide a new direction to Serena Software in India. His strategic business approach will help us set a strong foothold across sectors in both the large and mid markets in India."
Contextually, Munindra, an engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, brings with him 27 years of experience and knowledge spanning areas of software engineering, business expansion, and operational leadership. Previously he was the country manager of India for Rational Software. Before that he held managerial positions in ORG Systems.
Focusing on his future plans, Munindra said, "I look forward to strengthening our presence in India through innovative sales, channel, and product management strategies."
