Brian Stones has been appointed as the executive vice-president for Patni Computer Systems European operations.
Due to the growth and opportunities in Europe, Patni's investments are being channeled to strengthen operations in the region.
According to the press release, the company s European business showed a growth of over 60% last year. It already has presence in European countries like Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, and the UK. The European region accounted for 14.2% of Patni's revenues for the quarter ended March 31 2007.
Prior to joining Patni, Stones was a senior vice-president with ACS for two years, and was responsible for the business operation in Europe. He also worked as a vice-president for Capgemini. Overall, Stones has over 28 years of international business experience in the European sphere.
