  • CA has announced the release of 6.0- a new version its eHealth network performance management solution. It will feature a new report center and other enhancements to make it easy for enterprises and service providers achieve service level objectives efficiently.

Leveraging a reporting engine, it will provide insight into network performance, behaviors and trends. Users will be able to create, schedule, run and customize web-based reports.

Reports include "what-if" queries on the impact on performance, in case number of users in a branch office double. They can document service level agreement (SLA) compliance of line-of-business managers and customers.

"The new reports will significantly enhance the way we manage network and document support for business," says Chris Perez, senior network technician at Raymond James Financial, one of the largest financial services firms in the U.S.

"In addition, the latest user interface enhancements will reduce the time spent on administration allowing us to re-allocate resources to more strategic tasks." he adds.

eHealth will ensure availability and reliability of IT services across heterogeneous network environments to monitor network performance, identify important trends and provide alerts during deviations.

Through its integration with CA's Unicenter NSM (Network and Systems Management), eHealth can deliver network performance data for a central management console to give IT operations staff a single view into health of the entire IT infrastructure. eHealth will integrate with SPECTRUM, CA's network fault management solution to provide a network fault and performance solution enabling service level support across complex networks.

eHealth integrates with HP OpenView Network Node Manager and Micromuse Netcool, to enable network managers for accessing real-time and historical data in context. It can retrieve configuration and performance data for ATM and Frame Relay connections from Cisco WAN Manager, Cisco IP Solution Center, Lucent, Alcatel and Nortel.

E-health will be available in India in the next 10-15 days. The pricing depends on the requirement of the enterprise.
