  • Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has announced the signing a five-year, US $192 million IT outsourcing contract renewal with TrygVesta. TrygVesta is an insurance company based in the Nordic region. The new agreement took effect from 1 January 2008.

Under the terms of the contract, which supersedes the previous agreement signed in 2003, CSC will continue to provide IT infrastructure services. This includes help desk, mainframe, midrange, network, Web hosting and print and distributed computing. These services will support approximately 3,900 users at TrygVesta locations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

"It is important to TrygVesta's future business development that we get a world-class level of IT support with geographical breath and depth that matches our goals," said Peter Falkenham, COO of TrygVesta.

Nick Wilson, president of CSC's Northern European Operations was upbeat about this development. "This renewal is testament to the benefits they have received from outsourcing. CSC's growing expertise within the financial services industry will deliver results that take TrygVesta to the next generation of outsourcing," said Wilson.
