Cable&Wireless Releases APM Suite

Cable&Wireless has launched its managed application performance management (APM) services.

The portfolio of services also includes Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS).

The company claimed in a press statement that a recent trial of the solution took place with one of the world's largest utility companies, resulting in 60 % cost saving.


APM is a proposition made up of visibility, optimization, acceleration, and application management modules. Deployed in stages, APM offers businesses a panoramic view of their IT infrastructure, including how network performance is functioning, where problems lie and what changes can be made to improve network utilization.

Jim Marsh, CEO of Cable&Wireless said, "The APM services market is taking off globally - as businesses drive their networks harder, and look for greater returns on existing network investments."
