  • Campus Management offers ERP solutions to educational institutions in the US. Campus is looking to expand its Asia-Pacific and India foot-print with Talisma CRM s acquisition.

Tim Loomer, chief executive of Campus management, said We are basically in the education space with our ERP product and our presence is mainly in the US. CRM is a logical extension of our core product. We wanted to expand into Asia-Pacific and India, and this seemed the most logical way to do it.

Campus ERP products mainly aimed at educational institutes would not have found takers in India because of its cost structure, according to Tim. We did our research, and focused on an acquisition that would not only enable us to offer a relevant product to the local market here, but also strengthen our reach in sectors other than education, said Tim.

Post the acquisition, Campus plans to expand its development team in Bangalore by adding 150 more product developers. Campus will retain the Talisma brand name in Asia-Pacific, while selling the CRM products under its own brand in the US.

There were obvious synergies with Campus products that we did not notice at nGenera, hence the merger, said Rajendra Mruthyunjayappa, managing director, Talisma.

Talisma has customers across various business verticals and some of its customers include Epson India, ICICI Bank, INSEAD, Sony (India and Singapore), Yatra, Larsen & Toubro, Hindustan Unilever, Ma Foi Management Consultants, Bajaj Capital, Sutherland and Club Mahindra.
