DVS & Indepay Join Retail Bandwagon
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Jan 5, 2007

The Indian retail industry has not yet opened its wings, and enterprises have already started queuing up outside these stores with different solutions.

The latest to jump the bandwagon are Dynamic Vertical Solutions (DVS) and Indepay Networks.

DVS has launched AGR- Inventory Optimiser, and HandPoint Retail, to build on the LS Retail suite of solutions. The existing customers can upgrade these enhanced solutions.

An end-to-end solution, LS Retail is built on the Microsoft Dynamics platform. It integrates functions such as finance, sales, purchase, inventory, human resource, payroll, CRM, production.

AGR Inventory Optimiser uses raw data from any ERP or transaction system and uses forecasting methods and inventory management techniques to deliver proposals on purchases, minimizing total inventory costs.

The company has also introduced a barcode enabled handheld software solution handPoint Retail for in-store tasks, field sales and hospitality.

It will soon launch Peocon- People Flow that provides information about the number of people in a store. The solution is ideal for malls, airports, etc. Another solution in offing is StoreVision, a digital video auditing and surveillance system to prevent losses, manage risks, merchandise and operations.

Indepay is a retail distribution and payment network to underline retailer-consumer contacts in a market over telephones. It will provide a common platform to purchase groceries, merchandise, as also train and air tickets.

The company has tied up with Tata Tele-services for the project. Through its proprietary platforms, Indepay is in the process of forming a network of merchants, telcos, banks & online aggregators.

Rajib Saha, president & CEO, IndePay, said, "Indepay will give freedom and convenience to consumers in purchasing and it will enable retailers to grow on the strength of new services and revenue streams."

"Though Indepay terminals would be deployed pan-India, they will be initially activated in metros and some towns," he added.

Recently, SAP India announced the opening of Centre of Excellence (CoE) for retail.

PayMate India, a mobile commerce solutions company, is now focusing on retail sector merchants including large chains to stand-alone establishments with a solution to offer transaction interface options depending upon the facilities available at the point of sale.

Indepay is financially week organization, and management is too poor they can?t realize the actual market scenario and merchant pulse , thus they are loosing the market share, one day it will like dinosaur, name will be there and no physical existence. Moreover I just want to add few people in indepay are very greedy and fraud, it is one of the cause why company is such a bad situation.
