ECI Opens New South Asia RBU
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Mar 20, 2008
ECI Telecom, a global provider of networking infrastructure, has created a new Regional Business Unit (RBU) to encompass India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. This RBU will be headed by the current manager of the Indian country office, Kiran Pande. This move reflects the growing importance of these countries for the company.
Pande has been ECI's country manager for the past five years, when he oversaw the company's marketing and business development operations in these countries. He was also responsible for the office's overall financial and operational performance. ECIs's market share during this period was 37% in the transport segment.
"Our strategy in this region has been to grow with our customers, as partners, and we have enjoyed undeniable success as a result. I am sure Kiran will continue the excellent job he started in India, and lead us even higher, not only in India, but also Sri Lanka and Nepal," commented Aviel Tenenbaum, executive vice president (global sales and marketing) of ECI Telecom.
