According to industry analysts, the market for IT services involved in delivering SOA applications will dominate the enterprise technology budget. It is estimated that in 2010 more than US $33.7 billion will be spent on SOA services.
With the growing SOA services market, more money is expected to be spent toward SOA testing. Patni Computer Systems, a global provider of IT services and business solutions have joined hands with iTKO, a US-based testing software company. With this partnership, Patni will deliver SOA testing services as part of its comprehensive Verification and Validation (V&V) practice.
V&V practice is backed by Verification & Validation solutions on platforms such as mainframe, client/server, web, embedded technologies, J2EE, and .NET. This partnership will enable Patni to deploy the iTKO LISA SOA Testing solution at its V&V Centre of Excellence (COE) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It will help Patni strengthen its foray into SOA testing. This will allow the company to offer end-to-end solutions for deploying SOA.
Dilip Dhanuka, senior vice president and head of product and technology initiatives of Patni said, "The scale of testing required for complex, dynamic SOA applications can be daunting for the world's biggest institutions. LISA exercises every layer of SOA, ascertaining cost-effective test creation and reuse, with constant validation of functional integrity and performance.
