Under its regular enterprise events series, CXOtoday.com organized an event on November 22, 2007 at Delhi. The topic was "Application Delivery Infrastructure for a Dynamic World". The discussions between CIOs were held in an interactive forum. Given below are some of the excerpts from the event:
"We are thinking of consolidating our datacenter and reducing our footprint. 60%-70% of our workforce is traveling. Hence, delivery on time is very important for us."

"Ultimately delivery is important, it's the paramount."
Sanjay Aggarwal, general manager (Operations) of IRCTC.
"Recurring charges should not increase, as it has adverse affect on the performance of the company."
Vijay Sethi, vice president (Information System) of Hero Honda Motors.
"The role of design is only 5% in service delivery and the major role is played by bandwidth."
Satish Kumar, general manager (IT) of Rites.
"The design plays a very important role."
Md Afaq, DGM (C& IT) of Steel Authority of India.
Most of the members pointed out that the cost of bandwidth has gone down in the recent years. But the spokesperson of Citrix said that even if the cost of bandwidth has fallen down in the recent years, yet its applications have increased remarkably.
