  • HCL Technologies (HCL), a global engineering, R&D and IT services firm, has launched FIRST 2.0, a proven methodology and suite of end-to-end engineering services that enables enterprises to compete effectively in the world of Web 2.0.

    It is a multi-service delivery comprising infrastructure, applications and product engineering. It includes the following:

    HCL's Web 2.0 includes developing a social networking portal for an online real estate broker community; and creating an enhanced user interface for a location-based service provider, using AJAX technology.

    First 2.0 is a service offering that is available from the HCL pool of services from the technical vertical, particularly for companies, who are in the internet space, like Yahoo and so on.

    Currently available, Web2.0 is applicable to a range of verticals such as real estate, search, shopping, internationalization, media & publishing, and entertainment.
