Honda India to Improve Inventory Management

Honda Motor India (HMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Honda Motors, has zeroed in on Servigistics Service Parts Management to reduce inventory and increase demand satisfaction across India.

Honda India's primary focus is providing service parts for Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, Honda Motorcycles and scooters India, and Honda Siel Power Products India. The new solution will enable the company to handle multiple layered locations and to minimize excess by enabling transfers between locations. Once implemented, the solution is expected to increase planner efficiency and decrease delivery lead time to dealers across India by improving part availability.

"Therefore, part availability and expedited delivery lead time are critical to meet our objective. Entercoms India, a strategic partner of Servigistics, will implement the solution and support it.
