IBM today introduced NOC-Inside (Network Operations Center - Inside), an easy to implement and use automated IT infrastructure management service.
NOC Inside, an automated service offering with onsite roll-out will enable businesses realize productivity, ensure control and agility of IT Infrastructure. Unlike a remotely managed service offering, it has been designed around assets IBM-NetSol, developed over years.
It would help businesses provide a "single view" of IT operations to include networks, systems, applications, databases, desktops as well as helpdesk. This services package will enable businesses take complete control through end-to-end visibility of IT infrastructure with minimal integration and operational effort.
NOC-Inside would be available as three service packages to suit IT Management Services requirements of every segment in the marketplace (Small, Medium and Enterprise) across industry verticals.
These include Power Pack for integrated functionality for enterprise customers, Flexi for independent functionality and Lite for integrated functionality with scope for SMB customers.
Nipun Mehrotra, Director, Global Technology Services, IBM India/SA says, "A recent IBM CIO study highlighted an alarming number of CEO's in India, nearly 86% of the ones interviewed, rating 'business and technology integration' to be of great importance.
Clients using NOC-Inside will be able to leverage IBM-NetSol's domain expertise with understanding of business and IT operations; besides availing continuous value addition through IBM's "consultative engagement approach.
A unique feature is the "IT Advisory Service" to maximize returns by providing access to IBM-NetSol experts - providing analysis of IT infrastructure issues, proactive problem identification, growth planning and performance improvement to form a key component of the service to enable organizations adopt a consultative approach in resolving issues to impact business performance. IBM claims that NOC - Inside, is currently the only available "Integrated and Automated IT Management Services offering in the marketplace.
Mehrotra claims, "This 'Automated IT Management Services' offering would offer clients a set of comprehensive monitoring and management functionalities and is designed to enable immediate productivity with "negligible integration effort".
Availability is immediate across India. The company declined to comment on pricing stating that it would depend on the nature of the enterprise.
