Indian Firm to Support Global Consulting Company
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Apr 10, 2008

Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), an offshore Technology Operations Management (TOM) company, has been engaged with Frost and Sullivan, a global growth consulting company, in consulting, application development, maintenance and technology support works. CSS will help Frost and Sullivan develop a 360-degree project feedback module, which will work with the latter's project management application.

In addition, CSS will develop solution, which will equip Frost and Sullivan with the ability - to leverage the information gained from its projects to spin off new projects called Leveraged IP. The offshore team at the CSS facility in Chennai will also develop IT solutions for the partner, aiming at achieving more systems integration across applications.

Commenting on the choice of Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), David Frigstad, chairman of Frost and Sullivan said, "We looked at many different options that included other offshore development vendors, as well as commercial 'off the shelf' solutions. CSS understood our requirements better than any other outsourcing vendor. CSS offered a best in class solution, encompassing IBM technologies, which was key to our decision making to outsource the development of our several applications - including a newly improved global, web-based project management system, a project we believe will ultimately help Frost and Sullivan drive productivity on a global scale at world class levels."

"In our phase 1 of the engagement with CSS, we have seen a marked increase in global productivity and accountability. We now have the precise ability to dig deep into the performance of all our engagements," added Frigstad.

CSS will also partner closely with the IT team of Frost and Sullivan in the US, to help them automate their manual processes, and develop applications for HR, Finance, Operations and Administration departments.

In the words of Frigstad, "We expect to derive significant cost savings through process efficiency, reduction in effort, and more timely KPI's for critical management decisions. We expect increased productivity and improvement in overall profit margins. This expanded outsourcing engagement with CSS will also provide greater integration across our 4 main global Information Technology Platforms."

Shiva Ramani, co-founder and CEO of CSS said, "We are pleased that one of the leading global consulting firms has chosen to expand their outsourcing engagement with us, and entrusted the development and support of their web management system to our offshore team in Chennai. The fact that CSS came out clearly on top ahead of other leading India-based outsourcing companies is - another endorsement of our strong and passionate management team, and our offshore development & delivery capabilities."
