Mumbai, 21 Aug 2008, 1056 hrs IST
Infosys BPO, a subsidiary of Infosys Technologies, has reorganized its procurement business to provide end-to-end solutions across the entire 'Source-to-Pay' cycle. The organization announced this in a press statement, further stating that it aims to address the changes in the global sourcing and procurement industry and differentiate itself from competition.
The reorganization, effective August 1'08, will help the company enhance its portfolio of offerings and broaden its service offerings and customer base, said the press statement.
The services under the new practice would include:
* E-procurement
* Supplier Management
* Contract Management
* Strategic Sourcing
* Spend Management
Ravi Panchanadan, head (S&P) of Infosys BPO said, "With the dynamic changes occurring in the procurement market, there is a need to realign to create a model that can meet the new challenges of our strategic direction, increased customer expectations and higher levels of competition. With this change, we have a compelling value proposition for the procurement industry."
Infosys BPO has also launched a sourcing and procurement academy to train employees on the latest global practices and requirements.
The organization has also launched an 'on demand' procure-to-pay business platform at a variable but predictable price based on the procurement spend.
