Infosys Plans Campus in Kolkata

Infosys Technologies is planning a new development centre at Kolkata. The campus will see an investment of Rs. 500 crore and will create more than 5,000 jobs over a period of time, according to the company.

Commenting on these plans, Debesh Das from the Department of IT, government of West Bengal said, "Kolkata has become the new hotspot for IT in the east with its rich cultural and educational heritage. Going forward, we expect to see more of such investments coming into the state and more jobs being generated."
