Irdeto, a provider of content and business model protection solutions and services, has expanded its product line. The new, expanded product line promises to offer a range of solutions to help companies protect and monetize digital assets.
The company recently acquired business support systems specialist, IBS Interprit, set-top box (STB) solutions provider, IDway, and software and datacenter security provider, Cloakware.
It's now utilizing their expertise to provide content and business model protection solutions for broadcasters and operators. These products will continue to be sold individually under the Irdeto brand, and will also be sold bundled as an end-to-end solution called Irdeto SmartStart for digital TV operators.
Cloakware, an Irdeto company, will continue to function separately with Irdeto group CEO, Graham Kill, as its CEO. The company's software security solutions target the consumer electronics and software application market.
