Mumbai, May 16, 2006

Sify Limited, a leader in consumer, Internet and enterprise services in India with global delivery capabilities, has announced that its enterprise-wide mailing solution has been selected by LIC Housing Finance Limited.

The mailing solution, Sify Linux Enterprise Mailserver(SLEMS) on an ASP model, has a unique option of having mail ids with/without dial-up connectivity offering.

The solution, catering to 5500 plus Direct Sales Agents (DSA) of LICHFL is hosted at Sify's Level III Data Center i.e. SIFY International Data Center, TidelPark, Chennai.

It ensures high uptime and redundancy and is completely managed by Sify's personnel. The solution is already being implemented. Currently there are 500 users already created and new users are getting added constantly.

Rahul Swarup, President, Enterprise Solutions, Sify Limited said, "As part of Sify's strategy of growing the high growth opportunity areas we first targeted the stock broking segment. We are now looking at the Insurance and Personal Banking segments who have large DSA networks for our host of managed Application Services that include document management, digital security and hosted mail and messaging services."

According to P.K. Rath, GM (Marketing), LIC Housing Finance Ltd., "Sify's mailing solution is highly reliable, scalable and unique. It has helped us disseminate information about new products, schemes, incentives etc., to our 5500 plus agent force in a cost effective manner. A unique feature of the solution is that Sify has bundled mail-only connectivity with the Mail Id's such that our agents have easy access to their mail boxes from over 300 locations in India with just a normal dial-up connection."

For the novice DSAs, Sify has provided relevant FAQ's on the web. Sify has also provided a customer care help desk with a toll-free number for users to contact from all over India and for answering any queries on implementation and support.
