Lobby Banking with UBI

To provide a better banking experience to customers, Union Bank of India (UBI) has embarked on a comprehensive banking automation project comprising a set of self-service products and solutions.

On the cards is a lobby banking concept. According to Ganesh Rao Allada, senior manager with UBI, at least 100 ATM kiosks will be covered in this project throughout the country.

The concept will work on a lobby format which will accommodate automated teller machines, cash deposit machines and automated passbook printers. The lobbies will be housed in the bank premises. Once the solution gets implemented, customers can withdraw money, deposit cash and get passbook printed without any human intervention requirements.

The kiosks will also be used to book railway ticket, for bill payments, among other services.
