Leading WAN & WiFi solutions provider, Microsense has announced its readiness to offer end-to-end WiMax solutions across the country. Having developed authentication and billing systems for WiMax networks, it claims to provide services for individuals and the enterprise.
At present, Pune and Bangalore are front-runners in providing citywide broadband wireless access, launched by respective government authorities.
Microsense has successfully completed a RF Blueprint for WiMax and Metro Wi-Fi deployment in Pune along with Intel and the Pune Municipal Corporation. The company says that it has been short-listed by the Govt. of Karnataka as the top vendor for its Unwire Bangalore initiative.
Kailasanathan, MD, Microsense says, "Wi-Max is an extremely important technology, which is expected to have far reaching impact on all aspects of telecommunications in the future, including data and mobile data applications, and mobile voice communications."
Moving with a fast pace, it aims to provide professional services internationally for city wide networks using WiMax and Metro WiFi technologies, and also service provisioning independently in partnership with telecom service providers," he added.
At the invitation of the Karnataka Government, a pilot project to provide broadband Wireless Access connectivity has been installed in Vikasa Soudha, and a multi-storied building complex in central Bangalore.
Microsense claims to be the only Indian company having capabilities for offering end-to-end solutions in the WiMax space: designing, planning, equipment supply, deployment and management.
It has built over 500 hot spots across the country in offering Wi-Fi facilities in the hospitality sectors, with installations in over 80 premium properties in India and overseas.
Its clientele includes Le Meridien Hotels, Taj Group of Hotels, ITC Group of Hotels, Hyatt, The Park, Oberoi and Caf Coffee Day.
