Motorola Signs Agreement with NewGator
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Jan 9, 2007
Motorola has signed an agreement with NewsGator Technologies to mobilize RSS content for enterprises.
According to the agreement, Motorola will extend NewsGator-aggregated RSS content from behind the firewall to mobile users on a broad range of devices, including the Motorola Q, Samsung BlackJack, the Palm Treo family and many other standards-based smartphones.
This will help mobile users across many lines of business, enhance customer service and improve productivity with access to enterprise RSS content on their smartphones.
Marketing can introduce new pricing promotions by posting them to the corporate Intranet, or sending an e-mail to the sales team. Engineering/R&D can track a product bug list and development milestones on a Wiki. Updates to the Wiki can be automatically published as an RSS feed and delivered by smartphone to sales engineers or product managers meeting with beta customers.
According to Bruce Steele, VP- corporate development, NewsGator, "The ability to deliver relevant RSS content to employees regardless of their platform is the aim. Our partnership with Motorola Good Technology Group enables us to make RSS information securely and seamlessly available to users regardless of where they are on the industry's leading mobile devices."
