New Laptop Tool Stops You from Getting Lost
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, May 2, 2008

SatNav Technologies, a Hyderabad-based IT products company and pioneer of GPS technology in India, has added laptop navigation and desktop maps for individuals. SatNav SatGuide turn-by-turn navigation and planning solution will now be available for laptops and desktops in the retail market.

This tool is positioned as an efficiency enhancement and planning tool. When an individual is planning to travel outside the office or to another city, SatGuide's laptop and desktop version can help improve efficiency by at least 15% during the trip. SatGuide is now offering this with Destinator 7.0.

To access maps on desktops, there's no need for Internet connection once SatGuide is installed. Sitting in one's office, it's now possible to feed in a start point, end point, and get the complete details of distance, time to travel, etc. When prior information is available regarding traffic congestion from any other sources like an FM channel, it's also possible to block those routes and get the most optimum route as an output.

Laptop users, who are worried about having to carry an additional device when visiting new cities in India or need to plan their route within their own city before leaving office, can load SatGuide on their laptops and navigate with ease. Instead of having to search for addresses after reaching the vicinity of the destination, the user can now seek details, mark out the destination on their desktop, and then go directly for the meeting.
