New UC Solution Hits Indian Markets
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, May 20, 2008
Tadiran Telecom, has launched uCmC (Unified Coral Messaging Center) for the Indian market. The company claims uCmC will be able to serve diverse industries such as government, manufacturing, retail, financial services, utilities, telecommunications and healthcare.
uCMC offers consolidated voicemail, email and faxes onto one secure platform. Fully integrated into the Coral family of products, the uCMC offers 9 CCR (Custom Call Routing) menus per mailbox, one button function to add ANI (Automatic Number Identification) to phone number list, customizable recorded messages and greetings, and the option of text message alerts upon reception of new mail. uCMC brings the power and flexibility of unified messaging to office communications. The uCMC can be accessed anywhere Internet access or a LAN connection is available using a DTMF telephone.
It integrates directly with Microsoft Outlook and uses its address books, group lists, and contact lists. uCMC received messages appear as a normally received message and activate the uCMC Media Player. Text messages can be read and voice messages can be played directly from Outlook. Voice messages can be replied to or forwarded to another user's mailbox within the system. Text messages can also be replied to or forwarded using the Media Player's text message window. Using a single VPX control screen, uCMC users can manage voice mail, faxes and e-mail from Internet Explorer. This provides a gateway to all of the system setups and monitors.
The market for Unified Communications (UC) is expected to be US $50 billion world-wide by 2010 growing from the present US $25 billion. As IT spending in India continues to show a 27 % growth year-on-year, it's no wonder Tadiran Telecom is seeing potential in the UC niche in India and cashing in on the increased spending.
Commenting on the occasion Vishal Singh, country manager of Tadiran Telecom said, "The Indian market is indeed one of the fastest growing economies with high growth potential in the networking industry. UC is a red hot space as it supplements this growth. Tadiran Telecom's unified communications solutions are built on open, industry standards making it easier for companies to integrate with the desktop or business applications they prefer adding strategic value to their customers."
