New Version of Cyn.in now Available
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Jul 17, 2008
cyn.in, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering for enterprise collaboration and knowledge management, is now available as an open source, 'out of the box' software appliance that can be set-up behind the firewall.
It manages, secures, tracks, and organically structures a content base of files, documents, digital media, and any free form content. XML and open standards-based APIs allow integration into existing systems.
The new version enables enterprises to setup collaboration work spaces for employees, business partners, customers, etc. with new Web 2.0 applications like wikis, blogs, file sharing repositories, etc.
The cyn.in software appliance integrates everything required to run cyn.in, including the application server, database, operating system, etc. into a software appliance that can be run on appliance platforms, such as VM Ware, XenSource, Microsoft VHD, or can be directly installed on a standard bare metal server.
The community edition of cyn.in is available for free download, in the form of a virtual appliance or full source code. The enterprise edition is priced at a per server model and there are no additional costs for client access licenses, said the press release.
