Nokia Launches New Phones for Business Users
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Jul 3, 2008
Nokia India has aunched the Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 - two email-optimized devices from the Nokia Eseries product range.
the new models mobilize a range of personal or professional messaging needs, including Microsoft Exchange, the world's most widely adopted
corporate email solution. The E71 and the E66 will be available across the country and are expected to retail at MRPs of Rs. 22,949 and Rs. 23,689
respectively.
Nokia also presented the findings of a third party research (commissioned by Nokia) on 'Mapping the Enterprise Mobility' Adoption in India that mapped the behavioural and usage of 1500+ prosumers and over 200 enterprise users in over 5 locations of India (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai).
The research illustrates a strong adoption of mobile solutions for communication with enhanced productivity being seen as the most important
perceived advantage of using Mobility Applications (59.6 %). This in turn stems from improved mobility of users, eventually increasing ability to meet their customer needs. The top 3 reasons for deploying enterprise mobility included enhanced productivity, meeting customer needs, and leveraging data while being away from office.
Push email emerged as the most widely used application among enterprise users (85 %), while SMS and SMS applications emerged as the most used
productivity enhancement applications among prosumers(71.2 %). According to the research findings, 60 % of non-user prosumers are keen on reaping
benefits of enterprise mobility in the next one year. At the same time, the application that has the highest proportion of users planning to adopt within the next 6 months is mobile email, with a similar proportion also planning to adopt Instant Messaging application. Over 89 % prosumers and majority of enterprise users felt completely secure regarding data transacted over their devices.
