Now, Social Networking Goes Mobile

Juice Wireless, the US-based mobile marketing company, launched JuiceCaster in Mumbai on Friday. JuiceCaster is a mobile application that offers unified mobile and web social media application for tech-savvy Indians and IT professionals. With JuiceCaster, one can use a camera-enabled mobile phone to get photos, videos, and other content that can automatically be shared with friends and family. Presently, Juice Wireless is in active discussion with the Indian operators regarding strategic on-deck launch plans for the Indian market. "JuiceCaster is a full social network right on your phone, perfect for Indians who have a well deserved reputation for being very tech-savvy and enthusiastic users of mobile technology," said Nick Desai, CEO of JuiceCaster. "India is strategically important for JuiceCaster. It's a naturally social market and we're making the sharing of pictures and videos among friends and family as easy as sending a text message," added Desai. JuiceCaster is the only mobile phone-based, complete social networking and user-generated content experience. It's an independent and easy-to-use application offering instant social networking. It automatically links a mobile phone user's pictures and videos with Web-based social networking portals such as MySpace, Facebook, and Orkut. It has cross-platform content access, making easy distribution and sharing mainstream and user-generated content. JuiceCaster lets users: * Capture pictures and videos on mobile phones and share with friends, family and groups * Find new friends by checking others' pictures and videos, right on the mobile phone * Publish pictures and video instantly from the phone to online social networking sites * Maintain a rich social networking connection, including a profile, friends list, and personal status With JuiceCaster's groups feature, users can share pictures and videos from their phones directly to many people in just a click. Users can create groups on JuiceCaster.com and import contacts from a various sites and desktop contact systems such as MS Outlook. JuiceCaster has a strategic partnership with Mavin Infotech in Hyderabad for content monitoring, development and an application development center in Delhi.
