  • Perot Systems has acquired Original Solutions, a professional IT services firm providing applications development and management services to clients in Ireland and the United Kingdom. Perot Systems is a worldwide provider of IT services and business solutions.

    Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

    Original Solutions' competencies include web applications, client server development, enterprise integration, and legacy systems re-engineering. They also have expertise in ITSM and IT Infrastructure Library process management. Based in Limerick and Dublin, Ireland, Original Solutions employs approximately 90 people and reported revenues of 9 million euros in 2007.

    According to Perot, the acquisition of Original Solutions will add depth to their services portfolio in Irish and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) markets. Original Solutions' clients include Allied Irish Bank, Bank of Ireland, Eircom, and O2. John Collins, the original founder, will remain as head of the company and will facilitate further expansion.
