Persistent Systems, a provider of Outsourced Product Development (OPD) services, has made new appointments to its top level management team to foster increased growth in global markets. T M Vijayaraman, has been appointed as CTO, while Ranjan Guha has been appointed as senior VP of strategic business development.
Vijayaraman, previously the senior vice president (technology), will now be offering technical insights from a customer-facing perspective and guiding future investments. Ranjan will be responsible for driving sales efforts focused on strategic customer relationships. Both Vijay and Ranjan will be based in the US office at San Jose, California.
Commenting on these appointments, Anand Deshpande, chairman and MD of Persistent Systems said, "I am delighted to welcome Vijay (Vijayaraman) in his new role, and Ranjan on board at Persistent Systems. We see them as 2 key executives who will continue to drive our leadership in software product development and engineering. I look forward to their contribution to the remarkable growth Persistent Systems has been witnessing over the last few years."
Prior to joining Persistent, Vijay was at the National Centre for Software Technology, Mumbai and has actively participated in designing many of its technology education programs. He has also been an active member of various eminent Database Communities and has served on the program committees of several notable international conferences.
Prior to Persistent, Ranjan was at e4e, as the president of Applistructure, heading the organization globally. He has also held several senior positions at HCL.
Vijay holds a post-graduate degree in Computer Science from IIT Chennai and a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from University of Calicut, while Ranjan holds a Bachelor's degree in commerce and a post graduate specialization in sales and marketing management.
