Regus Group has announced a portfolio of workplace solutions for small businesses, home workers, and entrepreneurs featuring products and services from IBM and Cisco Systems.
According to the companies, the global deal will make businesses and home workers productive and efficient in providing productivity tools to improve business operations.
Regus Group is one of the world's largest providers of outsourced workplaces for businesses of any size. IBM will provide technical support for VoIP, videoconferencing, as well as access for Cisco's voice and data network platform.
The office space infrastructures will be offered on a pay-as-you go basis and will include wireless access, individual video, WEB and audio conferencing, bandwidth on Demand and Find Me/Follow Me phone functionality.
The productivity features claim to enhance remote capability and connectivity for small businesses and remote workers in 750 Regus Business Centers in 350 cities worldwide.
The Regus Group will offer equipped and furnished offices as well as business addresses for clients that have offices in a Regus center, in their home or on the road.
IDC figures state that two-thirds of the global workforce will be mobile by the end of 2006. The Regus Group claims that it will equip mobile workers with tools to place workers in environments of greater productivity and closer to customers, key suppliers or their homes.
"Regus can provide fully integrated voice and data communication solutions that will help small and medium-sized businesses operate more efficiently when serving their customers," says Lauren Ventura, senior director for worldwide small and medium-sized business marketing at Cisco Systems.
Regus adds that it is defining new and innovative ways for businesses, both large and small, to successfully manage workplace needs. By delivering offices and meeting rooms on flexible terms, businesses can gain the ability to create a flexible workplace plan that adapts quickly to their changing needs.
Regus sources informed that the company currently has 8 centers in India, in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Pune and an upcoming one in Kolkata.
