Reliance and Stealth to Extend VoIP Network
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Jun 24, 2008
Reliance Globalcom, a subsidiary of Reliance Communications, has joined hands with Stealth Communications for extending VoIP Network -Voice Peering Fabric (VPF). With this alliance, Voice Peering Fabric will use Reliance Globalcom's 65,000 km fully IP-enabled optic fiber network to carry its VoIP traffic.
The extended reach of VPF on Reliance Globalcom's network would enable service providers from new markets to join the Plug-n-Play VoIP platform at attractive cost base. Reliance Globalcom would also offer termination of VoIP calls on traditional PSTN networks across the expanse of VPF across 50 countries.
Mike Sauer, president (global voice services) of Reliance Globalcom said, "Reliance Globalcom is pleased to provide the extensive reach of its network assets to the Worlds largest VoIP community - VPF. We look forward to closely working with Stealth Communications on network and product synergies to introduce quality and innovative services for carrier, enterprise and end-users"
Besides, it would also enhance the reliability and the existing suite of product and service offerings from Reliance Globalcom's Next Generation Network (NGN). This would further help in increasing value and cost benefits of voice over Internet protocol to end-users.
Located in the major international telecom hubs, VPF is the world's largest peering network for organizations to exchange voice (VoIP) and telephony-related services without relying on traditional telephone networks.
