Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, a mobile messaging service provider, announced that it has processed more than 89 billion domestic and international SMS and MMS messages.
This vindicates that SMS is the most successful mobile data application with MMS beginning to play an increasing role as an adjunct to SMS messaging, as well as contributing to the growing data ARPU of mobile operators.
The Sybase 365 global messaging ecosystem enables mobile operators to send inter-operator traffic domestically and internationally for all markets -- with possible reliability.
"The sheer volume of messages delivered by Sybase 365 in 2007 reflects the continued growth of the mobile messaging market," said Marty Beard, president of Sybase 365.
