  • Sushil Bandi, currently the country manager for the Indian subcontinent, will now also oversee WD's India operations with Sharad Srivastava, the current sales director, deciding to step down to pursue other avenues.

Srivastava will officially step down on December 31, 2009 and chase his dream of becoming an entrepreneur, said Western Digital.

"I am honored to take on this role and look forward to working closely with the team to further strengthen the WD brand in India and SAARC nations.  We will continue to focus on introducing leading technology and new products in the market and build upon already existing strong distribution network across India," said Bandi.

"I would like to thank the members of channel community, OEM and other customers as well as WD team for the trust, support and commitment provided during my four years tenure in WD.  WD is a great company with great products and I am confident that the India market will continue to flourish for WD under the able leadership of Sushil," said Srivastava.
