Siebel Wireless Now Supports Blackberry
By CXOtoday Staff
Mumbai, Apr 13, 2007

Oracle announced its Siebel Wireless support for Blackberry smartphones from Research In Motion (RIM), bringing its CRM applications and capabilities to Blackberry users.

Now, enterprises using Siebel can push notifications or data to any user via the BlackBerry push based email, voice and SMS text messaging channels. Corporates can now use this facility to update their mobile workforce, be it senior executives, sales teams or field service engineers, with real-time CRM data residing in their Siebel systems.

Jeff McDowell, VP Global Alliances, RIM, said," The Blackberry platform provides a robust and multifaceted solution for supporting mobile workers in field, and CRM applications are important from both strategic and operational perspectives. Siebel Wireless on Blackberry smartphones allows field personnel to stay connected with up to date customer information, and helps enhance overall customer satisfaction."

In addition to having access to corporate mail, phone and other applications, users can manage all aspects of customer interactions, service tasks, assess critical corporate data and collaborate more effectively with other team members. These advantages translate to lower costs, more profitable, predictable revenue growth and higher quality customer interactions.

Mike Betzer, Oracle Vice President, CRM Strategy, said, "Coupled with the increasing amount of time the workforce spends in the field and closer to the customer, Siebel Wireless for BlackBerry is a necessary application for enterprises to conduct business with a customer-centric approach, anytime, anywhere."
