Sybase Inc., a provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, has invited the user and developer community at the launch the Sybase India User Group (SIUG).
The objective is to create an India specific user group to increase awareness and adoption of Sybase software, and provide a platform to share knowledge, experiences and best practices of using it.
In addition, the SIUG will operate as a communication network between local users, developers and Sybase management to share solutions in region specific application issues, discuss its products and queries on data management, development tools and mobility.
It will also promote local user group activities and reward certification program for excellence.
The first Sybase India User Group meet plans to focus on networking opportunities, product updates and a discussion with primary guest speakers, Haridas Nair and Vadiraja Bhatt. The former is a director, Emerging Technologies- a section of Information Technology Solutions Group, at Sybase Inc. and the latter is a software architect, Server Performance Engineering and Development (SPEED) Group, Sybase India.
"Our mission is to act as an information channel, advocate and a force for our user community and their issues. This will enable us to determine the product directions of Sybase. SIUG will provide users and developers in India an exclusive platform with access to Sybase India Management," says Balaji Jagannathan, country manager, Sybase India.
