Increasing its footprints throughout India, Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), has launched its telecom operations in the Jammu & Kashmir circle. Providing seamless coverage in 29 towns initially, it will include 36 more towns shortly.
Envisaging an investment of over Rs 100 crore in the first phase, TTSL is introducing a range of products under the Tata Indicom umbrella-pre-paid and post-paid mobile phone services, fixed wireless telephony along with a host of value-added services. The products and services will be available at exclusive showrooms of the company and several retail selling points across the state.
Anil Sardana, MD of TTSL, said, "The launch of services in the J&K circle is a key milestone in our pursuit of realizing the Tata vision of having a nationwide presence. Providing latest technology to customers at affordable prices, this launch will redefine the way people communicate in the region."
The company has over 100 cell sites already in place and with Phase II of the services rollout around the corner, this number is expected to grow. The vendor has deployed its state-of-the-art CDMA network in the J&K circle which allows enhanced voice quality and data connectivity. The CDMA advantage ensures improved call quality with better and consistent sound, minimum call drops, enhanced privacy and network efficiency, said the company.
