Troubleshoot VoIP problems with Metroscope

Companies that run a customer support solution (like a call center) require to run a VoIP solution in order to reduce costs. A jittery conversation can lead to direct customer loss. In order to maintain the QoS, most network infrastructure solution providers and administrators had to rely to the subjective listening of the conversation to interpret performance data. This does not always ensure high quality conversations as networks can be bogged down at times due to high traffic requirements.
In order to facilitate troubleshooting and optimum performance of the VoIP networks, Fluke Networks' MetroScope Carrier Ethernet Analyzer is a device that Ethernet service providers can use to monitor their network in real time.
This device allows the technicians to make a VoIP test call for as long as 24 hours to test call quality for long durations. The device can be configured to simulate multiple simultaneous calls which will generate a real-time report of the networks performance. This reduces human errors to a minimum and can add objectivity to the quality control test process.
In addition to the new VoIP phone, MetroScope was also recently upgraded with a newly designed ProVision test suite. This new test capability makes MetroScope the first field tester designed to treat carrier Ethernet as a service, saving time, money and producing more relevant results
The new version of MetroScope Service Provider Assistant with the ProVision test suite will be available in December 2008.
