eDrawings Professional for Inventor 6.1

Geometric, the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions and technologies provider has announced the release of eDrawings Professional for Autodesk Inventor's version 6.1

This version includes support for Autodesk inventor 2009, Textures, iParts and iAssemblies. A 15-day trial pack of this latest version can be downloaded for free from the company Web site.

eDrawings Publishers are lightweight intuitive collaboration tools for 3D models that are available on Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA V5, NX, Autodesk Inventor8, SolidEdge and Google SketchUp.

These tools create ultra compact eDrawings files with 95% compression against the original CAD file. The tools share design data and feedback on product designs, manage, track, and merge comments with the eDrawing files.

In absence of dimensions the tools measure the geometry and assembly of files. They have a disable measurement feature to secure sensitive design data. Internal parts and assembly details can be scanned with dynamic cross-sectioning. Other features include hide, show, and move components.
