CFO Summit To Discuss BREXIT, Demonetization, GST
New Delhi: The imminent rollout of the GST, the short and long-term impact of demonetization and the implications of BREXIT as well as likely changes to the world trade pacts in the wake of Donald Trump’s statements are among topics that would be discussed by more than 100 financial controllers from across various industry verticals during the 7th edition of the annual CFO Leadership Summit to be held here on December 16, 2016.
Organized by EXITO Media Concepts Private Limited, a Bangalore-based business solutions company, the day-long event would also stress on technology enablement of CFOs as a panacea for making data-driven business decisions for their respective industries. CXOToday.com is among the media partners for the event that would hold sessions on data analytics, technology innovation and talent development for financial leadership in enterprises.
While regulatory compliance and streamlining of internal controls continue to remain key priorities for the modern day CFO, especially in the wake of the major changes that are being brought in by the Narendra Modi-led regime at the Centre, issues such as fiscal discipline, the impact of global economic changes and domestic challenges related to cost of finance, stock market turbulence would add additional challenges to these number crunchers.
Of course, this brings us to ask the key question: Are CFOs only meant to be crunching numbers in the modern era? Or, do they need to have more than a nodding knowledge of other operational challenges such as the use of technology, the power of human capital, the criticality of data security in a highly competitive business environment and the constantly changing customer preferences for products and services.
The latest edition of the CFO Leadership Summit would witness more than 100 CFOs gathering around to discuss the issues impacting industry in general and their community in particular. In addition, they would get an opportunity to learn from business leaders and evangelists while also closely networking with their peers from across other industry verticals.
Key speakers at the event include GST expert and former RBI Governor Dr. Bimal Jalan, CFO of Dabur India Lalit Malik, Group President and CFO of Moser Baer Yogesh Mathur, Senior Director at Pepsico India Holdings Chetan Mathur and Chief Economic at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. S P Sharma.
Commenting on the event and its growth over the past six editions, EXITO’s managing director Rishikesh Shetty said “We have come a long way from the first edition of this event. Our attendees have repeatedly recommended this conference becasue of the quality of content and the networking and business opportunities that delegates get. The unique format gives ample networking opportunities to delegates and solution providers alike.”
The event, which is conducted strictly on a ‘By Invitation’ basis, would have delegates from a wide range of industry verticals such as BFSI, aerospace engineering, IT and ITES, automobiles, capital goods, chemicals, consumer goods, electronics, food processing, iron and steel, electronics, pharmaceuticals, energy and textiles among others.
