Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) and Infotech Enterprises have inaugurated an engineering center of excellence (CoE) for aircraft systems software and electronics analysis, design and development in Bengaluru. Alain Bellemare, president, Hamilton Sundstrand and B.V.R Mohan Reddy, chairman and managing director, Infotech Enterprises hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at Infotech’s Bengaluru facility on April 6.

“This new center of excellence builds on the relationship Hamilton Sundstrand established with Infotech in 2005. We have found Infotech to be a great team player and we are confident this agreement will help us stay competitive in the global aerospace market,” remarked Bellemare.

Hamilton Sundstrand stated selected Infotech as its supplier for the Embedded Systems Software and Electronics (ESSE) center of excellence in December 2009. The ESSE center began operation in 2010 and now employs approximately 100 software and electronics engineers. The center could employ up to 300 people over the next few years, informed the company.
