Hamilton Sundstrand and Infotech inaugurates electronic CoE

CoEHamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) and Infotech Enterprises have inaugurated an engineering center of excellence (CoE) for aircraft systems software and electronics analysis, design and development in Bengaluru. Alain Bellemare, president, Hamilton Sundstrand and B.V.R Mohan Reddy, chairman and managing director, Infotech Enterprises hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at Infotech’s Bengaluru facility on April 6.

“This new center of excellence builds on the relationship Hamilton Sundstrand established with Infotech in 2005. We have found Infotech to be a great team player and we are confident this agreement will help us stay competitive in the global aerospace market,” remarked Bellemare.

Hamilton Sundstrand stated selected Infotech as its supplier for the Embedded Systems Software and Electronics (ESSE) center of excellence in December 2009. The ESSE center began operation in 2010 and now employs approximately 100 software and electronics engineers. The center could employ up to 300 people over the next few years, informed the company.

“We are very proud that Hamilton Sundstrand continues to place its trust in us. We are absolutely committed to meeting all of their expectations,” commented Reddy.

As reported, Infotech adopts a proactive approach to serve clients with delivery centers in North America, Europe, Middle East and APAC. Clients span multiple industries such as Aerospace, Semiconductor, Telecom, Utilities among others, in addition include 22 ‘Fortune 500‘ and 27 ‘Global 500‘ blue chip organizations.
