HCL Infosystems Appoints Two Directors On Board
IT hardware firm HCL Infosystems announced the appointment of two independent non-executive directors on its board. The company has appointed former Tata Beverages Group President -South Asia, Sangeeta Talwar and former Partner at PwC Kaushik Dutta in these positions, HCL Infosystems said in a statement.
Talwar has nearly three decades of experience and was instrumental in creation of Nestle’s popular Maggi brand and ‘Jago Re’ campaign for Tata Tea. She has also served on Boards of Tata Tea, Tata Coffee, Eight O’clock Coffee (USA), Oriental Hotels and Mother Dairy. She also held positions like Mattel India CEO and Managing Director, Executive Director at Tata Tea Ltd and NDDB Dairy Services Managing Director, the statement added.
A well-known speaker on Leadership and Diversity initiatives, Talwar has received the Women Super Achievers Award for excellent contribution to Social Marketing as well as several other accolades and appreciations.
Dutta, a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers after spending over 22 years in the practice, out of which 17 years have been as a partner. He is associated as an expert on corporate governance with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (Ministry of Corporate Affairs).
His LinkedIn profile suggests that Dutta has also worked with international organizations like Conference Board of the US, Asian Development Bank, Institute of Directors UK, Asian Institute of Corporate Governance, the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, etc.
Kaushik has co-authored a book titled ‘Corporate Governance: Myth to Reality’, which has been highly rated by the Global Forum of Corporate Governance, USA and by the Indian media.
