E-commerce giants in India are celebrating the festival of lights by doling out the finest offers and deals for the consumers. Diwali and Dhanteras are the time for the etailers to lure customers to fill in their shopping carts.
With all the online shopping sites heaving up to the best bet to cash in the festive spree of shopping, there are some which are miles ahead in the market.
Flipkart is maintaining the lead at the annual e-commerce festival season sale, by topping over Amazon India in a market of steep and unfettered competition with total sales are estimated to have surged by up to 40 percent over last year.
Here’s how the top e-commerce portals are taking on the festivities:
Flipkart: With its wide product range, services, product quality among other qualities, the company is ranked first.
The site this has brought some offers on laptops, TVs, and other electronics, with lucrative deals on smartphones.
It is also providing exchange discounts, no cost EMIs, cashbacks and other offers to further lessen the effective prices of the smartphones.
Amazon: Just over three months after investing $260 million into Amazon Seller Services, Amazon has pumped another $250 million in the India-based seller operations unit to take on its arch rival Flipkart. This investment comes at a time when the US Goliath is preparing to pour in fresh funding in Amazon Pay, its digital payments service.
Like Flipkart, Amazon too is providing exchange discounts, no cost EMIs, cashbacks and other offers.

Snapdeal: With Flipkart’s Big Diwali Sale and Amazon India’s Great Indian Festival Sale roll out, Snapdeal went ahead with its Unbox Diwali Sale. Snapdeal’s festive season sale gave discounts on a range of products like smartphones, laptops, televisions, appliances etc.
Not just flat discounts, the company has also float Dhamaka Deals, where there are special discounts cash back offers on LED Televisions, External Hard Disks, USB Drivers, PC-Laptop Accessories and Audio Systems.
ShopClues: ShopClues too geared up well for Diwali this year. After the ‘Maha Bharat Diwali Sale’, it launched ‘Diwali Flee Market’ for the utility segment.

Paytm: Alibaba backed Paytm came up with Paytm Mall Diwali 2017 offer. While under the Paytm Mall Maha Cashback sale the company gave flat cashback of Rs 9,000 on the Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus under its Maha Cashback Sale offer. It is also offering additional Rs 6,000 cashback to those using Yes Bank credit card, which will be credited within 24 hours of the phone’s shipping.
